The Weekend Creation Blog Hop #1
Well it starts right here - Please read the instructions, link up and enjoy. I'm so looking forward to seeing your creations.
It will be useful and necessary to promote 'Weekend Creation Blog Hop' for all of us, at first, so that creative blogs get to know of this blog hop. So if you could help in any way - marvellous!
Eventually, there will be more blogs to hop to, follow and bloggers befriend. And if you're selling your creations, all the better for the bottom line!
The Instructions1) Copy the button above and place it somewhere on your creative post and/or sidebar of your creative blog.
A creative post might be a series of photographs, a short story, a hand-made creation - anything you deem to be creative at all.
A creative blog is a blog which features art in any genre as standard - like mine. But if you have a mom blog, which sells home-made goodies - that counts too. Likewise, if you create any sale items, the shop link to them would be cool too.
2) Link up to the creative blog or creative post or the shop selling your creations.
3) Follow me, your host, on GFC and Network Blogs please. Leave a polite comment requesting a follow back, along with your link - and I'll happily oblige.
4) Hop about as much as time allows you, to make as many like-minded friends as you find - it helps everyone out.
5) Follow those you like. Be polite. No demands!
Follow these simple rules and we could all learn something creative, find a wonderful shop or artist or writer, and everyone can find and follow like-minded blogs.

The Blog Carnival Against Child Abuse is....

"The Blog Carnival Against Child Abuse is a monthly event. It's purpose is to raise awareness about the serious issue of child abuse. All forms of abuse--physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual, verbal--are discussed.
We highlight blog posts, from child abuse survivor stories and their art & poetry, to child abuse as a topic in the news media, as well as PTSD, dissociation and other areas of the abuse "aftermath" that adult survivors are forced to deal with. We link to hopeful posts about therapy, recovery and healing from abuse. All forms of child advocacy and awareness are included.
Many months we have a theme, but no matter what the theme is, we accept submissions for our regular categories:
-Advocacy and Awareness
-Aftermath
-Healing and Therapy
-In the News
-Poetry
-Survivor Stories
-Art Therapy

What follows is one of my own 'survivor' poems, which I wrote quite a few years ago....
Tiny Tears by S Wharton
Without a self, or being
or inner strength,
I grew up to be this.
For years I fought anxiety,
I hid from thoughts
I would dismiss.
Nakedness and emptiness
without beauty or worthwhile.
I came about
and grew out of
the filth
behind my smile.
And now
the ice is melting
behind it, liquid pure.
Glass reflects goodness
not the evil
there before.
In years to come remind me
of the shadows
left by youAs all you'll see
on my face
is a tiny tear or two.
Thank you for speaking out
against child abuse
and for supporting survivors.

Special Thanks to ALL of my Followers.
I just wanted to set aside a little time to give a specail thanks to everyone who has taken the time to follow me, between Good Friends Connect and Network Blogs - I now have 282 followers (at the time of writing this) - and I've only been blogging a few months - I'm thrilled!
NEW BLOG DESIGN IS COMING SOON
I have mentioned this but I'm looking forward to a blog re-design compliments of Scenic Glory, who's been a bit poorly lately (hugs) so I really appreciate all here hard work. I'm so excited and looking forward to getting rid of this design. The background gremlin is driving me bonkas!

Also, I'm asking all readers who think they could write something/contribute something to my guest post gallery please email me at shahwharton@gmail.com with your suggestions. I'm looking for something no more than 1000 words, which links to any of the subjects I follow (see the little list below the title). So excited to see what ideas you have. I publish and promote the piece for two days on the homepage, then place it in the gallery.

I'm also hosting my own blog hop over the weekend "Weekend Creation Blog Hop". It will be centred around art, so I'm not sure how busy it will get to begin with. I'd like the link ups to go to an article/story/poem/painting/photograph/you tube video you've made/anything along those lines, or a creative blog. If you're not sure - ask. It will also include linking to all the marvellous shops you have which sell things you've made, or a design blog which is promoting it's design talents - these are creative ventures afterall.
